You insert the key into the hole, and it sinks inward, being taken by the door (erase this Special Item from your list). Walking inside you find a surprise. In front of you, bloodied, and looking close to death, is a Xagash, a lesser Darklord from the Darklands. Powerful warriors, and vicious fighters, they rely on human flesh to be at their strongest. They typically cannot survive for any length of time in any environment other than that of Helgedad or the Darklands of old. Finding one in the heart of your enemies' homeland is the last place you expected to find one. This must either be a Xagash of great importance, or the Kai have some other mysterious reason for holding it.

If you have ever played any of the other Dark One adventures, turn to 13.

If you have not, turn to 42.
