13It is Lakaast, your Xagash guide who was captured from the Bleeding Merchant on your voyage to Vassagonia. Never in your wildest imaginations did you ever expect to find him here. He looks the worse for wear. His eyes are clouded, as if some illness blinds him. His skin hangs from his bones, like clothes from a clothes line. He has lost a great deal of weight during his captivity. His face breaks into what may even pass for cheer as he sees you, looking upon you as he might a savior. You snicker to yourself, for you have no intention of saving the fool, that is, unless he can provide you with some sort of usefulness. You have no room for those who may lag you down, especially here in the heart of your enemies' dungeon. If you possess the Psychic Belt, turn to 17. If you do not, turn to 26. |
