24In the brief respite you have from the enemy attack, you talk with the Drakkar Commander. His face is taut as he outlines the two plans they have for plugging up the gate. The first involves destroying the actual stone surrounding the gate, thus creating a rock barrier that should end most of the enemy breakthroughs. The other involves bolting two new iron doors to the wall, thus also temporarily closing up the gap, but since they will not be able to be opened anytime soon, closing everyone inside the city as well. You may volunteer to aid in these actions. If you wish to go with blowing the wall and act as the guard for this action, turn to 35. If you wish to go with the Iron Doors and act as the guard for this action, turn to 5. Alternately, you could leave these forces to their fate, the main attack having been turned back, and turn your attention elsewhere. You could see to the battle at the Breach of the North Wall by turning to 17. Or instead, try to invade Gnaag's tower by turning to 30. |
