You study the carvings more in depth and realize they are more recent than the rest of these tunnels. Many of these were cut during the time of the Glory of the Darklords; others are even more recent, as recently carved into the walls as this day and time. In the walls you find depictions of the rise of the Drakkarim, the establishment of the Darklands, the Crushing of the Kai, and many other such Darklord victories. In addition, you see prophecies of Vashna rising from the gorge in Maaken, of Naar striding triumphantly over the world, and then a moonlit sky, and finally to your surprise, a picture of you defeating a Kai Supreme Master wielding a flaming sword. You've never heard of such a being, nor seen one, but if all the prophecies on the wall are true, sooner or later you are bound to defeat the Kai, or so you hope that is what the prophecy portends.
