You reach for the Gauntlet when you hear a click. Swiftly you look down and see several holes surrounding the Gauntlet, making way for something to emerge from them to assail whoever tries to take the valuable item. Moving your hand away as quickly as possible, you narrowly miss having your hand stabbed by a needle emerging from the hole you had just covered. The needle flies into the air several feet and then falls uselessly next to the pedestal it just came from. You reach for your weapon, more careful this time, and slowly push the Gauntlet off onto the ground. A metallic ring alerts you that once again you have set off the trap, but this time the needles can only strike your weapon. Stooping down you pick the Gauntlet up from the floor.
