The Kirlundins, leaderless and overwhelmed, jump into the ocean, or onto the doomed Bleeding Merchant as the Pirates fearlessly take control. Only seconds after the grappling lines and boarding planks have been cut, a terrible shriek fills the air as Rune Fire's ship crashes into the Bleeding Merchant. Lakaast the Xagash roars in fury as he is tossed to the rail of the Bleeding Merchant, jarred by the crash just as the ship was struck. In the middle of jumping from one ship to the other, he tries to recover, but unfortunately not fast enough. Nets and ropes sail overhead snaring him in their grasp as Rune Fire jumps onto the deck behind him. With no time to lose you make a split second decision and leave him.

Parting the Clipper takes to the sea, separating from the devastated hull of the Pirate's old ship. Rune Fire, flames licking at the deck behind him, stares at you, rage filling his face. Shaking his fist at your departing form he yells 'It is not over yet, Drakkar. Your curse on this land will yet be destroyed!' With that, you laugh as the new ship swiftly distances itself from the battle and enters into the open sea far ahead of the enemy.
