The Memory of Haakon

4

The voyage to Vassagonia is swift and uneventful. In only a few short weeks you have made the voyage from the far away ruins of Aarnak to the outskirts of the city of Barrakeesh. The crew has decided to let you off here instead of risking a run in with the authorities. Before you leave, you and Reld investigate the old quarters of Captain Mosk. In his book of registration that somehow the man saved from the 'Bleeding Merchant' is the exact location of the Tombs of the Majhan. Looking at this, it is determined that in order to make as short a voyage as possible you will make your way into the city of Barrakeesh and steal one of the prized flying Itikars from the Royal Palace. Once accomplished, you will make your way across the desert onto the hidden location of the tombs.

You also happen across another very interesting entry concerning the type of payment that Captain Mosk received individually from the Ghoulag. It seems that a type of undeath was delivered to the captain, insuring that instead of a permanent death residing upon him, he would instead be revived even more powerful than before, a gift requiring the services of powerful necromancy and even greater deals with darkness then even you can fathom.

A dark chill seizes your heart as you realize that it is probable that the captain is not dead, in which case he probably is searching for you this very instant. Resolving to avoid the captain's vengeance you set out at once, bidding Reld a brief farewell.

Turn to 26.
