The Memory of Haakon 34Several days pass, during which no big events happen. Most of the days are spent trying to practice your skills on the deck of the ship while the crew of the vessel watches you with languid interest. It seems the ship is held under the strict hand of Captain Mosk and his first Mate Reld. Pirates from the Lakuri Isles far to the East, they have voyaged long under the aspect of a large payment from the Ghoulag. Each of the crew was promised 200 Gold Crowns a piece, while the captain was promised some sort of escape from death by the Ghoulag itself. Whatever the payment the captain has received is impossible for you to detect. All you know of are the whispers of some great evil having been delivered upon Mosk's soul. Only such great payment could have brought these sailors across these waters so far from their homeland. During this age where the Kai ensure the safety of all in their grasp, the pirate profession has become an endangered occupation. Traveling this far into waters secured by Kai patrols is an invitation for destruction for a pirate. While you are thus voyaging, you have the opportunity to choose from a variety of equipment to ready yourself for your adventure. You may choose from the following
You also attain a number of Gold Crowns. (Your belt pouch can only carry up to 50 coins, however. Any additional coins will be counted as backpack items taking up one space for every 50 coins. Your backpack can hold up to eight items). To determine how many coins you attain, pick a number from the Random Number Table and multiply the result by 10 (0 counts as 10 in this instance). You may also trade any Kika you have for gold crowns at the rate of 10 Kika equal to one Gold Crown. |
