The Memory of Haakon

15

The captain falls to the sand, mortally wounded, but as soon as he ceases to breathe, life begins to be restored to him. With nothing to lose you remember the words Reld told you concerning the stone Necklace. Taking it from your pack you throw it at Mosk, willing the change to take place. As Mosk stands he starts to stiffen. A look of alarm covers his face as slowly, ever so slowly he is locked into place, unable to move. Frozen for the rest of time as a living statue his features change to rage just before the change is complete and he becomes completely stone.

Sighing with relief, you feel a gust of wind buffet your face. You feel a rush through your spirit as you realize that Naar's power is being removed from Mosk. The power that kept reanimating has been taken from the captain in his failure. Naar's pride at seeing you able to defeat even as mighty a creature as the captain fills your soul with darkness and restores your ENDURANCE to its initial value (restore all lost ENDURANCE Points). You have defeated Mosk once and for all, yet his words haunt you still. Was this all a useless exercise to see if you were truly fit to be Naar's Champion? Or do the Tombs below hold something, anything that might aid you in the remainder of your quest?
